A little about me...

I've always had a passion for fashion and art and have been drawing since since could I could pick up a pencil. I was born and raised in Ohio, cultivating my sewing and artistic skills through our local  4-H program. I further developed my love of drawing, sewing, fashion, and textiles by majoring in Fashion Design at the University of Cincinnati. After completing my bachelor’s degree in fashion in 2005, I moved all the way across the country to Los Angeles.

I worked in the LA fashion industry for several years as a technical designer. After a while, I desired a more creative role in the fashion industry. In 2012 I enrolled at the Otis College of Design and received a certificate in Textile and Surface Design. Once I completed the program at Otis I worked as a full-time designer creating prints for cosmetic bags for several large retailers. I left the cosmetic bag company to return to my true love, fashion. For the past few years I worked an apparel company creating prints and embroideries for missy, plus, and juniors clothing. In 2019 I left my job to become a freelance designer and focus solely on my own textile and surface pattern designs.

Watercolor, markers, pencil, and pen and ink are some of my favorite mediums to work with. Blending soft, fluid elements with textures and geometrics define my signature look. I often find inspiration from the natural world on walks through my neighborhood and camping trips with my husband.
